Shrubby St. John’s-wort (Hypericum prolificum)

This compact, multi-stemmed native shrub is well suited to sunny sites and produces abundant clusters of bright yellow flowers with showy stamens.

It is highly adaptable, tolerating a range of soil types including dry and rocky conditions once established. Its dense habit and fine-textured foliage make it useful for naturalized plantings and low hedges.
